This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for portions of the Missouri
Ozarks and extreme southeast Kansas.

.DAY ONE...Today and Tonight.

Weather hazards expected...

Limited lightning risk.
Limited non thunderstorm wind risk.
Elevated fire weather risk.

DISCUSSION...

Southerly wind gusts up to 30 mph will be possible this afternoon
across southeast Kansas and western Missouri.

Afternoon relative humidity values will drop into the 35 to 45
percent range across southern Missouri, creating an elevated fire
weather risk.

Showers and isolated thunderstorms will move into the area
tonight. Locations along and north of interstate 44 have the
highest risk of seeing this activity.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Friday through Wednesday.

Showers and thunderstorms will become more widespread on Friday.

A cold front will sweep through the area Friday night into early
Saturday morning providing a focus for more showers and
thunderstorms. If enough instability can develop, a few strong to
severe storms with large hail would be possible Friday night,
mainly across far southwest Missouri.

Total rainfall amounts through early Saturday morning will range
from three quarters of an inch across southern Missouri, to nearly
two inches across central Missouri. This amount of rainfall may
cause flooding of low water crossings and area creeks mainly north
of Interstate 44.

.SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...

Spotter activation will not be needed through tonight.
