This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for portions of the Missouri
Ozarks and extreme southeast Kansas.

.DAY ONE...This Afternoon and Tonight.

Weather hazards expected...

Limited excessive cold risk.
Elevated ice accumulation risk.
Elevated snow and sleet risk.


A wintry mix of snow, sleet and freezing rain will continue to
affect the area late this afternoon into the evening hours. Light
freezing drizzle will be possible as the system exits by late

Additional snowfall amounts of one to three inches will occur from
the Truman Lake region east through Lake of the Ozarks and Rolla
areas. This will bring storm total snowfall accumulations to five
to six inches.

Locations from Joplin to Springfield and Houston will likely see
sleet impact the evening commute. Additional sleet amounts of one
to two tenths of an inch are likely with some light freezing rain
possibly mixed in. Expect a hazardous evening commute in this

Locations south of US Highway 60 will experience additional
freezing rain amounts of one tenth of an inch.

Wind chills will fall into the single digits and teens during the
overnight hours tonight, especially over central Missouri.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Saturday through Thursday.

Light wintry weather will again be possible Saturday night and
again on Tuesday as additional disturbances track through the
region. From a glaze to a tenth of and ice will be possible as

snow to the area Tuesday night into Wednesday. Then a weak system
