This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for portions of the Missouri
Ozarks and extreme southeast Kansas.

.DAY ONE...Tonight.

Weather hazards expected...

Limited excessive cold risk.
Elevated ice accumulation risk.
Elevated sleet and snow risk.

DISCUSSION...

Freezing drizzle has ended in Joplin and in southeast Kansas with
this clearing expected to take place from west to east during the
remainder of the evening. Until then, light freezing drizzle can
be expected over much of the remainder of southern Missouri, with
a little bit of sleet and snow possible still in central
Missouri. A glazing of ice and a trace of snow will still be
possible as this system exits.

Wind chills will fall into the single digits and teens during the
overnight hours tonight, especially over central Missouri.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Saturday through Thursday.

Light wintry weather will again be possible Saturday night and
again on Tuesday as additional disturbances track through the
region. From a glaze to a tenth of and ice will be possible as
light freezing rain moves across the area. Some light snow up to
a half inch will also be possible across portions of central
Missouri.

Another winter storm system will bring a chance of accumulating
snow to the area Tuesday night into Wednesday. Then a weak system
may impact the area Thursday night into Friday.

.SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...

Spotter activation will not be needed through tonight.
