This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for portions of the Missouri
Ozarks and extreme southeast Kansas.

.DAY ONE...Today and Tonight.

Weather hazards expected...

Limited Excessive cold risk.
Limited Non thunderstorm wind risk.
Elevated Fire weather risk.

DISCUSSION...

Wind chills in the upper single digits and lower teens can
be expected early this morning.

Brisk and gusty south winds will occur this afternoon and
tonight, especially over western Missouri and southeastern
Kansas. Gusts of 30 to 35 mph are expected, with the
strongest gusts occurring tonight.

The brisk and gusty winds in combination with a very dry air
mass will lead to elevated fire weather conditions this
afternoon. Fires in these conditions will have the
capability of quickly growing and spreading.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Wednesday through Monday.

Brisk and gusty southerly winds will continue into Wednesday
morning with gusts over 30 mph likely.

Single digit wind chill values are expected from Thursday
night into early Friday morning along and east of the
Highway 65 corridor. Wind chills in the single digits are
then expected at times across much of the region from late
Saturday night into early Monday morning.

There is a limited risk for light snow accumulation on
Sunday as an upper level storm system moves across the
region.

.SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...

Spotter activation will not be needed through tonight.
