This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for portions of the Missouri
Ozarks and extreme southeast Kansas.

.DAY ONE...This Afternoon and Tonight.

Weather hazards expected...

Limited non thunderstorm wind risk.
Significant fire weather risk.

Gusty south winds will occur today and and tonight, especially
over western Missouri and southeastern Kansas. Gusts of 30 to 35
mph are expected, with the strongest gusts occurring tonight.

The winds in combination with a very dry air mass will lead to a
high fire danger. Outdoor burning will be more difficult to
contain and fires will spread rapidly if they escape control.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Wednesday through Monday.

Gusty south winds will continue into Wednesday morning with gusts
over 30 mph likely.

Single digit wind chill values are expected from Thursday night
into early Friday morning along and east of the Highway 65
corridor. Wind chills in the single digits are then expected at
times across much of the region from late Saturday night into
early Monday morning.

There is a chance for a light snow accumulation on Sunday as an
upper level storm system moves across the region.

Spotter activation will not be needed through tonight.
