This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for portions of the Missouri
Ozarks and extreme southeast Kansas.

.DAY ONE...Today and Tonight.

Weather hazards expected...

Elevated Hail risk.
Elevated Thunderstorm wind damage risk.
Elevated Lightning risk.
Limited Non thunderstorm wind risk.

DISCUSSION...

Southerly wind gusts around 30 mph are expected this morning
into early this afternoon.

A cold front will sag into the area this afternoon into this
evening. Storms are expected to develop along the front across
the area again late this afternoon into the evening hours. The
better chances for storms will occur east of Highway 65 and
south of Interstate 44. Many locations west of Highway 65 and
north of I-44 may not see much in the way of storms as coverage
will be more limited.

A few strong to severe storms will be possible late this
afternoon into this evening generally along and east of a
Gainesville to Versailles Missouri line. Large hail to size of
half dollars and damaging wind gusts to 60 mph will be the main
risk with the strongest storms, along with cloud to ground
lightning strikes. At this time the 3pm to 10pm time frame is
the best window for the potential of strong to severe storms.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Monday through Saturday.

No hazardous weather is expected at this time.

.SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...

Spotter activation will not be needed through tonight.
