...SIGNIFICANT WEATHER ADVISORY FOR BARTON AND JASPER COUNTIES UNTIL
1115 PM CDT...

At 959 PM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along
a line extending from near Fort Scott to near Cherokee. Movement was
east at 40 mph.

Dime size hail and wind gusts up to 55 mph will be possible with
these storms. There have been several reports of 50 to 55 mph wind
gusts along the gust front with these storms.

Carl Junction... Lamar...
Galena... Oronogo...
Carterville... Duquesne...
Sarcoxie... Duenweg...
Jasper... Golden City...
Liberal... Airport Drive...

Nashville... Mindenmines...

This includes the following highways...
Interstate 44 between mile markers 10 and 32.
Interstate 49 between mile markers 36 and 76.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

These storms may intensify, so be certain to monitor local radio
stations and available television stations for additional information
and possible warnings from the National Weather Service.

and be prepared to take appropriate action should severe weather
threaten.
