...A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 1145 PM CDT
FOR SOUTHEASTERN BARTON...NEWTON AND EASTERN JASPER COUNTIES...

At 1134 PM CDT, severe thunderstorms were located along a line
extending from near Golden City to near Sarcoxie, moving east at 40
mph.

HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Expect damage to roofs, siding, and trees.

This includes the following highways...
Interstate 44 between mile markers 12 and 32.
Interstate 49 between mile markers 16 and 43, and between mile
markers 45 and 48.

building.

To report severe weather contact your nearest law enforcement agency.
They will send your report to the National Weather Service office in
Springfield.

Continuous cloud to ground lightning is occurring with these storms.
Move indoors immediately. Lightning is one of nature's leading
killers. Remember, if you can hear thunder, you are close enough to
be struck by lightning.
