This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for portions of the Missouri
Ozarks and extreme southeast Kansas.

.DAY ONE...This Afternoon and Tonight.

Weather hazards expected...

Limited Lightning risk.
Elevated Excessive heat risk.


Heat indices will warm between 100 and 106 degrees this
afternoon and evening. The highest readings are expected
across southeastern Kansas into central Missouri northwest of
the I-44 corridor where a Heat Advisory is in effect this

An isolated thunderstorm is possible over portions of south
central Missouri this afternoon.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Thursday through Tuesday.

Heat indices in the middle 90s to around 100 will be possible
through the weekend into early next week.

Scattered thunderstorm chances will return to the area from
Thursday evening through Saturday. There will be a marginal
risk for an isolated strong storm with gusty winds up to 50 mph
and small hail up to penny size Thursday night through
Saturday. Widespread severe weather is not expected at this
time. Localized heavy rainfall may be possible with any storms
that train over the same area.


Spotter activation will not be needed through tonight.
