This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for portions of the Missouri
Ozarks and extreme southeast Kansas.

.DAY ONE...This Afternoon and Tonight.

Weather hazards expected...

Limited Lightning risk.
Limited Excessive heat risk.

DISCUSSION...

Showers and perhaps a rumble of thunder or two will continue to
spread south across southern Missouri into early this
afternoon.

Additional scattered thunderstorms will then be possible later
this afternoon into tonight as a front moves through the
region. Severe storms are not expected with occasional cloud to
ground lightning strikes the main risk with the storms.

A few breaks in the clouds will occur across extreme
southeastern Kansas and far western Missouri this afternoon,
allowing Heat index values to warm into the middle 90s to near
100 degrees across these locations.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Friday through Wednesday.

No hazardous weather is expected at this time.

Spotter activation will not be needed through tonight.
