This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for portions of the Missouri
Ozarks and extreme southeast Kansas.

.DAY ONE...This Afternoon and Tonight.

Weather hazards expected...

Elevated Excessive heat risk.

DISCUSSION...

High temperatures in the lower to middle 90s combined with a
humid airmass will cause heat index values in the middle 90s
to around 103 degrees this afternoon. The highest heat
indices will occur along the I-49 corridor and near the
Highway 54 corridor in central Missouri.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Thursday through Tuesday.

An extended hot spell will persist the remainder of the week
into Saturday. High temperatures will climb into the middle
and upper 90s while heat index values between 98 and 107
degrees will be common. The hottest temperatures will occur
from southeastern Kansas into central Missouri.

There will be a chance for thunderstorms from Sunday into
early next work week.
