...HEAT ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 7 PM CDT THIS EVENING...

* TEMPERATURE...Temperatures will quickly warm into the lower 90s
this afternoon as high clouds decrease. Heat index values will
be around the 105 degree mark.

* IMPACTS...These hot and muggy conditions will increase the
potential for heat related illness across portions of
southwestern and central Missouri this afternoon.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A Heat Advisory means that a period of hot temperatures is
expected. The combination of hot temperatures and high humidity
will combine to create a situation in which heat illnesses are
possible. Drink plenty of fluids, stay in an air-conditioned
room, stay out of the sun, and check up on relatives and
neighbors.
