This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for portions of the Missouri
Ozarks and extreme southeast Kansas.

.DAY ONE...Today and Tonight.

Weather hazards expected...

Elevated Hail risk.
Elevated Thunderstorm wind damage risk.
Elevated Lightning risk.
Limited Excessive heat risk.

DISCUSSION...

Isolated thunderstorms will impact southeastern Kansas and west
central Missouri this morning. Additional development of
isolated to scattered thunderstorms will occur this afternoon
into tonight.

Some of these storms will become strong to locally severe
capable of producing winds up to 60 mph, hail up to the size
quarters, and frequent lightning.

The greatest risk for severe weather will occur later this
afternoon and evening across central Missouri including the
Truman Lake and Lake of the Ozarks regions.

Afternoon heat index values will climb into middle to upper
90s.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Thursday through Tuesday.

The chance for thunderstorms will continue at times from
Thursday into the weekend. There is the potential for severe
weather later Thursday and again Friday.

Seasonably hot and humid conditions are expected through the end
of the week with afternoon heat index values in the middle to
upper 90s.

Spotter activation will not be needed through tonight.
