This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for portions of the Missouri
Ozarks and extreme southeast Kansas.

.DAY ONE...Today and Tonight.

Weather hazards expected...

Limited Tornado risk.
Elevated Lightning risk.
Limited Excessive heat risk.


Remnants of tropical storm Cindy will be lifting into the area
today. The most focused area for storms will be across south
central Missouri today where a few stronger storms will be
possible. A very small chance of a spin-up tornado will be
possible with the stronger storms, mainly south and east of an
Eminence to West Plains line.

Heat index values will rise into the mid 90s for western
portions of Missouri into extreme southeast Kansas for a brief
time this afternoon.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Friday through Wednesday.

A cold front will interact with tropical moisture remaining in
place to produce more widespread thunderstorm activity on
Friday. A few strong to severe storms will be possible over
south central Missouri. In addition, the storms will be capable
of producing very heavy rainfall.


Spotter activation may be needed later today over far south
central Missouri.
