...A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 1245 AM CDT
FOR NORTHWESTERN NEWTON AND SOUTHWESTERN JASPER COUNTIES...

At 1231 AM CDT, a severe thunderstorm was located over Webb City, or
near Joplin, moving northeast at 45 mph.

HAZARD...Tennis ball size hail and 60 mph wind gusts.

SOURCE...Trained weather spotters. Golf ball size hail was reported
on the west side of Joplin with this storm.

IMPACT...People and animals outdoors will be injured. Expect hail
damage to roofs, siding, windows, and vehicles. Expect wind
damage to roofs, siding, and trees.
