...A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 1245 AM CDT
FOR EASTERN CHEROKEE...WESTERN NEWTON AND SOUTHWESTERN JASPER
COUNTIES...

At 1217 AM CDT, a severe thunderstorm was located near Galena, or
near Joplin, moving northeast at 35 mph.

HAZARD...Tennis ball size hail and 60 mph wind gusts.

SOURCE...Trained weather spotters. This storm has a history of
producing very large hail in Northeast Oklahoma.

IMPACT...People and animals outdoors will be injured. Expect hail
damage to roofs, siding, windows, and vehicles. Expect wind
damage to roofs, siding, and trees.
