This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for portions of the Missouri
Ozarks and extreme southeast Kansas.

.DAY ONE...Today and Tonight.

Weather hazards expected...

Limited Non thunderstorm wind risk.
Elevated Fire weather risk.

Winds today will quickly increase in strength with gusts
approaching 30 mph from late morning through the afternoon
from southeast Kansas eastward to Highway 65.

There will also be an elevated risk for the rapid spread of grass
fires due to the strong winds region wide, plus relatively low
humidities east of Highway 65.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Sunday through Friday.

Strong winds will again be noted Sunday afternoon ahead of a
slowly approaching cold front. There will be a marginal threat for
strong to severe storms over southeast Kansas into west central
Missouri Sunday evening into Sunday night. Additional non-severe
storms are expected over southern Missouri on Monday as the front
stalls near the Arkansas border.

Additional chances for thunderstorms will occur Wednesday night
into Thursday and again late in the week.

Spotter activation will not be needed through tonight.
