THIS HAZARDOUS WEATHER OUTLOOK IS FOR PORTIONS OF THE MISSOURI
OZARKS AND EXTREME SOUTHEAST KANSAS.

.DAY ONE...THIS AFTERNOON AND TONIGHT.

WEATHER HAZARDS EXPECTED...

EXTREME FLOODING RISK.
LIMITED ICE ACCUMULATION RISK.
LIMITED SNOW RISK.

DISCUSSION...

AREAL FLOODING AND SIGNIFICANT RIVER FLOODING WILL CONTINUE.
MANY RIVERS WILL CONTINUE TO RISE TODAY...EXCEEDING MAJOR...
OR IN SOME CASES...RECORD FLOOD STAGE.

A MIXTURE OF SLEET...SNOW...AND POSSIBLY SOME FREEZING
DRIZZLE WILL SPREAD EAST ACROSS WESTERN MISSOURI THIS
AFTERNOON. SNOW ACCUMULATIONS OF A DUSTING UP TO AN INCH ARE
EXPECTED NORTH OF INTERSTATE 44 AND WEST OF THE HIGHWAY 65
CORRIDOR. THROUGH THIS EVENING AS THE SYSTEM LIFTS NORTHEAST.
LOCALIZED AMOUNTS UP TO AN INCH AND A HALF ARE POSSIBLE FROM
EXTREME SOUTHEASTERN KANSAS INTO THE NEVADA AREA. A VERY THIN
GLAZE OF ICE WILL ALSO BE POSSIBLE ON ELEVATED SURFACES.

A WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY IS IN EFFECT FOR LOCATIONS ALONG AND
WEST OF A VERSAILLES TO BOLIVAR TO ANDERSON LINE INTO EARLY
THIS EVENING.

FURTHER TO THE EAST...TEMPERATURES AT THE SURFACE ARE NOT
EXPECTED TO FALL BELOW FREEZING UNTIL PRECIPITATION HAS ALMOST
COME TO AN END. WHILE A BRIEF PERIOD OF LIGHT SNOW OR SLEET
WILL BE POSSIBLE...WINTER WEATHER IMPACTS ARE NOT EXPECTED
AT THIS TIME.

NORTH WINDS WILL REMAIN GUSTY ACROSS WESTERN MISSOURI AND
EXTREME SOUTHEASTERN KANSAS. WIND CHILL VALUES WILL DROP
THROUGH THE TWENTIES FOR THE REST OF TODAY. WIND CHILLS MAY
THEN APPROACH THE UPPER SINGLE DIGITS LATE TONIGHT ACROSS
PORTIONS OF EXTREME SOUTHEASTERN KANSAS AND WEST CENTRAL
MISSOURI.

ADDITIONALLY...STANDING WATER MAY FREEZE ACROSS MUCH OF THE
OUTLOOK AREA TONIGHT AS TEMPERATURES FALL BELOW FREEZING.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...TUESDAY THROUGH SUNDAY.

A WEAK SYSTEM WILL BRING LIGHT SNOW OR FLURRIES TO THE OZARKS
TUESDAY NIGHT INTO WEDNESDAY MORNING. LITTLE OR NO ACCUMULATION
IS EXPECTED.

AREA CREEKS...STREAMS...RIVERS...AND LOW WATER CROSSINGS WILL
LIKELY REMAIN FLOODED THROUGH MOST OF THE WEEK.
