LIMITED LIGHTNING RISK.

DISCUSSION...

ISOLATED TO SCATTERED THUNDERSTORMS WILL CONTINUE TO TRACK EAST
ACROSS SOUTHERN MISSOURI LATE THIS AFTERNOON INTO EARLY THIS
EVENING. OCCASIONAL LIGHTNING AND BRIEF HEAVY RAIN CAN BE
EXPECTED WITH THESE STORMS.

ADDITIONAL ISOLATED TO SCATTERED THUNDERSTORMS ARE POSSIBLE LATE
TONIGHT ACROSS THE AREA. NO SEVERE WEATHER IS EXPECTED WITH THIS
ACTIVITY AS THIS TIME.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...THURSDAY THROUGH TUESDAY.

HEAT INDEX VALUES WILL RISE INTO THE UPPER 90S ON THURSDAY
ACROSS WESTERN MISSOURI AND EXTREME SOUTHEASTERN KANSAS AND THEN
INTO THE 100 TO 108 DEGREE RANGE ON FRIDAY THROUGH THE WEEKEND
INTO EARLY NEXT WEEK ACROSS THE MISSOURI OZARKS AND EXTREME
SOUTHEAST KANSAS.

SCATTERED THUNDERSTORMS CAN NOT BE RULED OUT...MAINLY ACROSS
CENTRAL MISSOURI AND THE EASTERN OZARKS FROM FRIDAY INTO EARLY
NEXT WEEK THOUGH MUCH LOCATIONS SHOULD REMAIN DRY.
