OZARKS AND EXTREME SOUTHEAST KANSAS.

WEATHER HAZARDS EXPECTED...

LIMITED HAIL RISK.
ELEVATED THUNDERSTORM WIND DAMAGE RISK.
ELEVATED LIGHTNING RISK.
ELEVATED EXCESSIVE HEAT RISK.

DISCUSSION...

HEAT INDEX VALUES IN THE 90S AND 100S WILL LINGER INTO THE MID
TO LATE EVENING.

THUNDERSTORMS DEVELOPING ALONG THE INTERSTATE 70 CORRIDOR WILL
BEGIN TO PUSH INTO THE MISSOURI OZARKS THIS EVENING. SOME OF
THESE STORMS MAY BECOME STRONG TO SEVERE WITH DAMAGING WIND
GUSTS THE MAIN SEVERE WEATHER RISK. SMALL HAIL WILL ALSO BE
POSSIBLE. THE BEST CHANCE OF SEVERE WEATHER WILL BE ACROSS
CENTRAL AND SOUTH CENTRAL MISSOURI.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...TUESDAY THROUGH SUNDAY.

AFTERNOON HEAT INDEX VALUES IN THE MID AND UPPER 90S TO AROUND
100 DEGREES WILL STILL BE COMMON EACH AFTERNOON INTO THE LATE
WEEK PERIOD.

A FEW SCATTERED THUNDERSTORMS WILL BE POSSIBLE TUESDAY AND
WEDNESDAY WITH A WEAK FRONT NEAR THE AREA.

ISOLATED SHORT LIVED STORMS MAY BE POSSIBLE AT TIMES LATER IN
THE WEEK...MAINLY DURING THE AFTERNOON AND EVENING HOURS. MOST
AREAS WILL SEE LITTLE OR NO RAINFALL.
