LIMITED EXCESSIVE HEAT RISK.

DISCUSSION...

AFTERNOON HEAT INDEX VALUES WILL RANGE FROM THE UPPER 90S TO 104
THIS AFTERNOON WITH THE HIGHEST READINGS ACROSS SOUTHEAST KANSAS
AND WESTERN MISSOURI TODAY.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...MONDAY THROUGH SATURDAY.

MONDAY AND TUESDAY WILL BE HOT AND HUMID WITH AFTERNOON HEAT INDEX
VALUES AROUND 105 DEGREES COMMON...PARTICULARLY OVER SOUTHEAST
KANSAS AND PARTS OF CENTRAL AND SOUTHWEST MISSOURI. AFTERNOON HEAT
INDEX VALUES IN THE MID AND UPPER 90S TO AROUND 100 DEGREES WILL
STILL BE COMMON EACH AFTERNOON INTO THE LATE WEEK PERIOD.

A FEW SCATTERED THUNDERSTORMS WILL BE POSSIBLE TUESDAY WITH A WEAK
FRONT MOVING SOUTH INTO THE AREA. AN ISOLATED SHORT LIVED STRONGER
STORM OR TWO WILL BE POSSIBLE IN THE AFTERNOON AND EVENING.

ISOLATED SHORT LIVED STORMS MAY BE POSSIBLE AT TIMES LATER IN THE
WEEK...MAINLY DURING THE AFTERNOON AND EVENING HOURS. MOST AREAS
WILL SEE LITTLE OR NO RAINFALL.
