OZARKS AND EXTREME SOUTHEAST KANSAS.

.DAY ONE...TODAY AND TONIGHT.

WEATHER HAZARDS EXPECTED...

LIMITED THUNDERSTORM WIND DAMAGE RISK.
LIMITED LIGHTNING RISK.
ELEVATED EXCESSIVE HEAT RISK.

DISCUSSION...

ISOLATED TO SCATTERED THUNDERSTORMS WILL DEVELOP TODAY WITH A
LIMITED RISK OF SEVERE WEATHER. THE STRONGEST STORMS WILL BE
CAPABLE OF PRODUCING DAMAGING WINDS TO 60 MPH...VERY HEAVY
RAINFALL...AND FREQUENT LIGHTNING. THE GREATEST COVERAGE OF
STORMS WILL BE ACROSS SOUTHWESTERN MISSOURI.

AFTERNOON HEAT INDEX VALUES MAY CLIMB INTO THE 100 TO 105 DEGREE
RANGE ACROSS SOUTHEASTERN KANSAS AND SOUTHWESTERN MISSOURI IF
STORMS AND CLOUD COVER DO NOT MATERIALIZE.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...THURSDAY THROUGH TUESDAY.

A FEW STORMS MAY IMPACT PORTIONS OF CENTRAL MISSOURI THURSDAY
AND THURSDAY NIGHT. A BETTER CHANCE OF STORMS WILL DEVELOP NEXT
MONDAY.

AFTERNOON HEAT INDEX VALUES WILL CLIMB INTO THE UPPER 90S TO
AROUND 103 ON DAILY BASIS
