THIS HAZARDOUS WEATHER OUTLOOK IS FOR PORTIONS OF THE MISSOURI
OZARKS AND EXTREME SOUTHEAST KANSAS.

.DAY ONE...THIS AFTERNOON AND TONIGHT.

WEATHER HAZARDS EXPECTED...

LIMITED THUNDERSTORM WIND DAMAGE RISK.
LIMITED FLOODING RISK.
ELEVATED LIGHTNING RISK.

DISCUSSION...

SCATTERED THUNDERSTORMS WILL DEVELOP THE AFTERNOON AND EARLY
EVENING HOURS ACROSS THE OUTLOOK AREA. HEAVY DOWNPOURS AND
LIGHTNING WILL PRIMARY POTENTIAL HAZARDS. A FEW OF THE STRONGER
STORMS COULD PRODUCE WINDS TO 50 MPH...ESPECIALLY ACROSS SOUTH
CENTRAL MISSOURI.

THE COVERAGE OF STORMS WILL DECREASE AFTER SUNSET THIS
EVENING...BUT A FEW STORMS WILL REMAIN POSSIBLE INTO THE
OVERNIGHT HOURS ACROSS THE ENTIRE AREA.

A BAND OF SHOWERS AND STORMS IS EXPECTED TO DEVELOP FROM NORTH
CENTRAL OKLAHOMA INTO NORTHERN MISSOURI TONIGHT. THE SOUTHERN
EDGE OF THIS ACTIVITY MAY AFFECT PORTIONS OF EXTREME
SOUTHEASTERN KANSAS AND WEST CENTRAL MISSOURI RESULTING IN THE
POTENTIAL FOR LOCALIZED FLOODING WHERE STORMS TRACK ACROSS THE
SAME LOCATIONS.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...MONDAY THROUGH SATURDAY.

ADDITIONAL STORMS WILL DEVELOP DURING THE EARLY AND MIDDLE
PORTIONS OF THE WEEK. CLOUD TO GROUND LIGHTNING AND HEAVY
DOWNPOURS WILL ACCOMPANY THE STORMS. JUST ENOUGH INSTABILITY MAY
DEVELOP FOR A FEW STRONG STORMS DURING THE AFTERNOON AND EARLY
EVENING HOURS ON BOTH MONDAY AND TUESDAY.

HEAVIER RAINFALL AND A LIMITED TO ELEVATED RISK FOR FLOODING
WILL EVOLVE LATER TUESDAY INTO WEDNESDAY. EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT
AND THOSE WITH INTEREST ALONG AREA RIVERS AND IN FLOOD PRONE
AREAS SHOULD CLOSELY MONITOR THE LATEST FORECAST AND POTENTIAL
RISK FOR FLOODING.

.SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...

SPOTTER ACTIVATION WILL NOT BE NEEDED THROUGH TONIGHT.
