THIS HAZARDOUS WEATHER OUTLOOK IS FOR PORTIONS OF THE MISSOURI
OZARKS AND EXTREME SOUTHEAST KANSAS.

.DAY ONE...TODAY AND TONIGHT.

WEATHER HAZARDS EXPECTED...

LIMITED TORNADO RISK.
LIMITED HAIL RISK.
ELEVATED THUNDERSTORM WIND DAMAGE RISK.
SIGNIFICANT LIGHTNING RISK.
LIMITED NON THUNDERSTORM WIND RISK.

DISCUSSION...

SOUTH TO SOUTHWESTERLY WINDS WILL GUST TO 30 TO 40 MPH AT TIMES
THIS MORNING INTO THIS AFTERNOON AHEAD OF A COLD FRONT.

SCATTERED THUNDERSTORMS WILL CONTINUE TO TRACK ACROSS MAINLY
CENTRAL MISSOURI LATE THIS MORNING. THE SEVERE RISK IS VERY LOW
WITH THIS ACTIVITY AS CLOUD TO GROUND LIGHTNING STRIKES AND
SMALL HAIL WILL BE THE MAIN RISK.

A COLD FRONT WILL ADVANCE FROM EASTERN KANSAS INTO SOUTHWESTERN
MISSOURI EARLY THIS AFTERNOON. STORMS WILL DEVELOP ALONG THIS
FRONT BETWEEN INTERSTATE 49 AND HIGHWAY 65 EARLY THIS AFTERNOON.

ONCE STORMS DEVELOP THEY WILL FORM INTO LINE SEGMENTS. THE MAIN
RISK WITH THESE STORMS WILL BE WINDS IN EXCESS OF 60 MPH. THE
OVERALL HAIL RISK IS LOWER TODAY...BUT A FEW OF THE STRONGER
STORMS WILL BE CAPABLE OF PRODUCING HAIL TO THE SIZE OF
QUARTERS. THERE WILL BE A LIMITED TORNADO RISK WITHIN BOWING
SEGMENTS GENERALLY EAST OF HIGHWAY 65. STORMS WILL PUSH EAST OF
THE AREA EARLY THIS EVENING AS THE FRONT QUICKLY RACES OFF TO
THE EAST.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...FRIDAY THROUGH WEDNESDAY.

THUNDERSTORM CHANCES WILL RETURN LATE SATURDAY NIGHT...WITH
UNSETTLED WEATHER AND THUNDERSTORM CHANCES CONTINUING THROUGH
THE MIDDLE OF NEXT WEEK.
