OZARKS AND EXTREME SOUTHEAST KANSAS.

WEATHER HAZARDS EXPECTED...

LIMITED HAIL RISK.
LIMITED LIGHTNING RISK.
ELEVATED EXCESSIVE HEAT RISK.

DISCUSSION...

HIGH TEMPERATURES IN THE MID TOO UPPER 90S WITH HEAT INDEX
VALUES IN THE 100 TO 105 DEGREE RANGE ARE EXPECTED THIS
AFTERNOON.

SCATTERED THUNDERSTORMS WILL ONCE AGAIN DEVELOP ACROSS THE AREA
THIS AFTERNOON. A FEW SEVERE STORMS ARE POSSIBLE WITH HAIL TO
THE SIZE OF QUARTERS AND LOCALIZED DOWNBURST WINDS IN EXCESS OF
60 MPH. STORMS WILL DISSIPATE BY MID EVENING.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...THURSDAY THROUGH TUESDAY.

HEAT INDEX VALUES IN THE 95 TO 100 DEGREE RANGE ARE EXPECTED
THURSDAY AFTERNOON.

THUNDERSTORM CHANCES WILL INCREASE FROM WEST TO EAST FRIDAY AND
PERSIST ACROSS THE REGION THROUGH SATURDAY NIGHT.

THUNDERSTORMS WILL ALSO BE POSSIBLE ON TUESDAY.
