OZARKS AND EXTREME SOUTHEAST KANSAS.

.DAY ONE...TODAY AND TONIGHT.

WEATHER HAZARDS EXPECTED...

LIMITED HAIL RISK.
LIMITED THUNDERSTORM WIND DAMAGE RISK.
LIMITED LIGHTNING RISK.
ELEVATED EXCESSIVE HEAT RISK.

DISCUSSION...

HIGH TEMPERATURES WILL ONCE AGAIN PEAK IN THE MIDDLE 90S TO
AROUND 100 DEGREES WITH HEAT INDEX VALUES IN THE 100 TO 105
DEGREE RANGE THIS AFTERNOON.

LIKE THE PAST FEW AFTERNOONS...HIT OR MISS...ISOLATED
THUNDERSTORMS ARE EXPECTED TO DEVELOP ACROSS THE EASTERN OZARKS
AND ALSO ALONG AND NORTH OF THE HIGHWAY 54 CORRIDOR ACROSS THE
WESTERN OZARKS INTO SOUTHEASTERN KANSAS TODAY. THESE STORMS WILL
SLOWLY MOVE TO THE WEST...ENDING BY SUNSET. A FEW OF THE
STRONGER STORMS WILL BE CAPABLE OF PRODUCING SMALL HAIL TO THE
SIZE OF DIMES AND LOCALIZED DOWNBURST WINDS AROUND 50 MPH.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...WEDNESDAY THROUGH MONDAY.

ISOLATED THUNDERSTORMS CAN NOT BE RULED OUT ON AN AFTERNOON
BASIS THURSDAY AND FRIDAY. MOST LOCATIONS WILL REMAIN DRY. MORE
WIDESPREAD RAIN AND THUNDERSTORM CHANCES WILL ARRIVE FRIDAY
NIGHT THROUGH SATURDAY NIGHT.
