THIS HAZARDOUS WEATHER OUTLOOK IS FOR PORTIONS OF THE MISSOURI
OZARKS AND EXTREME SOUTHEAST KANSAS.

.DAY ONE...TODAY AND TONIGHT.

WEATHER HAZARDS EXPECTED...

ELEVATED HAIL RISK.
ELEVATED THUNDERSTORM WIND DAMAGE RISK.
LIMITED TORNADO RISK.
SIGNIFICANT LIGHTNING RISK.
LIMITED EXCESSIVE HEAT RISK.

DISCUSSION...

A WEAKENING LINE OF THUNDERSTORMS WILL CONTINUE TO MOVE ACROSS
PORTIONS OF CENTRAL MISSOURI AND THE EASTERN OZARKS THROUGH THE
MID MORNING HOURS. THIS WILL AFFECT AREAS MAINLY ALONG AND
SOUTHEAST OF A LINE FROM THE LAKE OF THE OZARKS TO BUFFALO
MISSOURI. LOCALIZED DAMAGING WIND GUSTS WILL BE POSSIBLE WITH
THIS ACTIVITY. OTHER WIDELY SCATTERED THUNDERSTORMS WILL DEVELOP
ACROSS PORTIONS OF EXTREME SOUTHEASTERN KANSAS AND WESTERN
MISSOURI THROUGH THE MID MORNING HOURS. SEVERE WEATHER IS NOT
EXPECTED WITH THIS ACTIVITY.

ONCE THE MORNING SHOWER AND THUNDERSTORM ACTIVITY WEAKENS...
BROKEN SUNSHINE WILL RESULT IN A HOT AND HUMID AFTERNOON WITH
HEAT INDEX VALUES IN THE MIDDLE TO UPPER 90S.

THERE IS A CONDITIONAL RISK FOR REDEVELOPMENT OF THUNDERSTORMS
THIS AFTERNOON. A CAP WILL BE IN PLACE ACROSS THE REGION...
HOWEVER THERE WILL BE MULTIPLE BOUNDARIES LEFT OVER FROM THE
MORNING THUNDERSTORMS. IF STORMS CAN DEVELOP...SEVERE WEATHER IS
POSSIBLE WITH LARGE HAIL TO THE SIZE OF QUARTERS... DAMAGING
WIND GUSTS TO 60 MPH AND PERHAPS AND ISOLATED TORNADO.

ADDITIONAL THUNDERSTORMS ARE POSSIBLE LATE TONIGHT AS A
THUNDERSTORM COMPLEX APPROACHES FROM THE WEST.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...THURSDAY THROUGH TUESDAY.

PERIODIC ROUNDS OF THUNDERSTORMS WILL OCCUR THURSDAY TO SUNDAY.
STRONG TO SEVERE STORMS WILL BE POSSIBLE AT TIMES. AREAS OF
HEAVY RAIN AND POSSIBLE FLOODING WILL BE A CONCERN DEPENDING ON
THE TRACK AND EVOLUTION OF EACH INDIVIDUAL THUNDERSTORM COMPLEX
OR LINE OF STORMS.

.SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...

SPOTTER ACTIVATION MAY BE NEEDED IN THE NEXT THREE HOURS FOR
AREAS ALONG AND EAST OF THE HIGHWAY 63 CORRIDOR. ACTIVATION MAY
BE NECESSARY IN THIS SAME AREA THIS AFTERNOON AND EVENING IF
THUNDERSTORMS CAN REDEVELOP.
