THIS HAZARDOUS WEATHER OUTLOOK IS FOR PORTIONS OF THE MISSOURI
OZARKS AND EXTREME SOUTHEAST KANSAS.

.DAY ONE...TODAY AND TONIGHT.

WEATHER HAZARDS EXPECTED...

LIMITED TORNADO RISK.
ELEVATED HAIL RISK.
ELEVATED THUNDERSTORM WIND DAMAGE RISK.
LIMITED FLOODING RISK.
SIGNIFICANT LIGHTNING RISK.
LIMITED NON THUNDERSTORM WIND RISK.

DISCUSSION...

STORM DEVELOPMENT IS EXPECTED TO OCCUR ALONG AND SOUTH OF A WARM
FRONT AS IT MOVES NORTHWARD ACROSS SOUTHERN AND CENTRAL MISSOURI
AND SOUTHEAST KANSAS TODAY. THE STRONGEST STORMS WILL DEVELOP
NEAR THE WARM FRONT. STORMS COULD DEVELOP AS EARLY AS LATE
MORNING AND CONTINUE INTO THE AFTERNOON AND EARLY EVENING. THE
STORMS WILL HAVE THE GREATEST POTENTIAL TO PRODUCE LARGE
HAIL...UP TO THE SIZE OF GOLF BALLS. DAMAGING WIND GUSTS AND
TORNADOES WILL ALSO BE POSSIBLE...BUT LESS LIKELY THAN HAIL.
LOCALIZED FLOODING WILL ALSO BE POSSIBLE...ESPECIALLY IN LOW
LYING AREAS THAT RECEIVED HEAVY RAINFALL ON THURSDAY AND FRIDAY.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...SUNDAY THROUGH FRIDAY.

A STRENGTHENING CAPPING INVERSION IS EXPECTED TO SUPPRESS
THUNDERSTORM DEVELOPMENT OVER THE OZARKS SUNDAY MORNING AND
AFTERNOON. HOWEVER...TO OUR WEST...STRONG TO SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS ARE
EXPECTED TO DEVELOP ACROSS CENTRAL KANSAS AND NORTH CENTRAL
OKLAHOMA SUNDAY AFTERNOON ALONG A DRYLINE. THESE STORMS COULD
MOVE EASTWARD TOWARD SOUTHEAST KANSAS AND THE WESTERN MISSOURI
OZARKS LATE SUNDAY AFTERNOON INTO SUNDAY EVENING.

STRONG TO SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS WILL REMAIN POSSIBLE THROUGH
MONDAY BEFORE A COLD FRONT MOVES ACROSS THE AREA ON MONDAY NIGHT.

.SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...

SPOTTER ACTIVATION MAY BE NEEDED LATER TODAY OR TONIGHT FOR
LOCATIONS ALONG AND NORTH OF A NEOSHO TO AVA LINE.
