NIGHT...

THIS HAZARDOUS WEATHER OUTLOOK IS FOR PORTIONS OF THE MISSOURI
OZARKS AND EXTREME SOUTHEAST KANSAS.

.DAY ONE...TONIGHT.

WEATHER HAZARDS EXPECTED...

LIMITED LIGHTNING RISK.
LIMITED NON THUNDERSTORM WIND RISK.

DISCUSSION...

SUSTAINED SOUTH TO SOUTHEAST WINDS AROUND 20 MPH WITH GUSTS AROUND
30 MPH CAN BE EXPECTED AT TIMES TONIGHT...MAINLY ACROSS WESTERN
MISSOURI AND EXTREME SOUTHEASTERN KANSAS.

A FEW SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS MAY PUSH INTO THE OUTLOOK AREA
LATE TONIGHT. THE MAIN THREAT FROM ANY STORMS WILL BE OCCASIONAL
LIGHTNING STRIKES...BUT A FEW STORMS COULD ALSO PRODUCE HAIL TO
THE SIZE OF DIMES.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...SUNDAY THROUGH FRIDAY.

NON SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS WILL REMAIN POSSIBLE SUNDAY MORNING
ACROSS THE OUTLOOK AREA WITH OCCASIONAL LIGHTNING STRIKES AND HAIL
TO THE SIZE OF PENNIES THE MAIN POTENTIAL HAZARDS.

INDICATIONS ARE THAT SUPERCELL THUNDERSTORMS WILL THEN DEVELOP
ALONG AN ADVANCING DRY LINE ACROSS EASTERN KANSAS AND OKLAHOMA
DURING THE EARLY TO MIDDLE AFTERNOON HOURS ON SUNDAY. THESE
THUNDERSTORMS WILL THEN TRACK INTO WESTERN MISSOURI DURING THE
LATE AFTERNOON AND EARLY EVENING HOURS. A MIXED MODE OF SUPERCELL
THUNDERSTORMS AND BROKEN LINE SEGMENTS IS THEN EXPECTED TO MOVE
EAST ACROSS THE REMAINDER OF THE MISSOURI OZARKS FROM LATER SUNDAY
EVENING INTO THE OVERNIGHT HOURS.

ALL MODES OF SEVERE WEATHER WILL BE POSSIBLE FROM THESE STORMS
FROM SUNDAY AFTERNOON INTO SUNDAY NIGHT. HAIL UP TO THE SIZE OF
TENNIS BALLS WILL BE POSSIBLE WITH ANY SUPERCELL THUNDERSTORMS
ALONG AND WEST OF THE HIGHWAY 65 CORRIDOR...WITH HAIL UP TO THE
SIZE OF GOLF BALLS POSSIBLE EAST OF HIGHWAY 65. DAMAGING STRAIGHT
LINE WIND GUSTS TO 70 MPH WILL ALSO BE POSSIBLE...ESPECIALLY WITH
ANY LINE SEGMENTS.

THERE WILL ALSO BE A THREAT FOR TORNADOES FROM SUPERCELLS...AND
ALSO EMBEDDED WITHIN LINE SEGMENTS WHICH BOW OUT TOWARDS THE EAST
AND NORTHEAST.

IT IS THEN POSSIBLE THAT STRONG TO SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS MAY
REDEVELOP ACROSS THE FAR EASTERN MISSOURI OZARKS LATE MONDAY
MORNING OR EARLY MONDAY AFTERNOON. HOWEVER...THE MAIN SEVERE
WEATHER THREAT ON MONDAY IS EXPECTED TO OCCUR EAST OF THE OUTLOOK
AREA.

DUE TO THE EXPECTATIONS FOR SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS ON SUNDAY...A
LIVE BRIEFING WILL BE HELD ON NOAA WEATHER RADIO AROUND 11 AM ON
SUNDAY MORNING.

.SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...

SPOTTER ACTIVATION WILL NOT BE NEEDED THROUGH TONIGHT. HOWEVER...
SPOTTER ACTIVATION WILL LIKELY BE REQUIRED FROM SUNDAY AFTERNOON
INTO SUNDAY NIGHT.
