THIS HAZARDOUS WEATHER OUTLOOK IS FOR PORTIONS OF THE MISSOURI
OZARKS AND EXTREME SOUTHEAST KANSAS.

.DAY ONE...TONIGHT.

WEATHER HAZARDS EXPECTED...

ELEVATED LIGHTNING RISK.
LIMITED NON THUNDERSTORM WIND RISK.
ELEVATED FIRE WEATHER RISK.

DISCUSSION...

BRISK AND GUSTY SOUTH TO SOUTHEAST WINDS WILL PERSIST FOR MUCH
OF TONIGHT ACROSS WESTERN MISSOURI AND EXTREME SOUTHEASTERN
KANSAS. SUSTAINED WINDS AROUND 20 MPH WITH GUSTS TO 30 MPH ARE
EXPECTED AT TIMES.

THE BREEZY CONDITIONS ALONG WITH LOW HUMIDITIES WILL CONTINUE
TO PRODUCE ELEVATED FIRE WEATHER CONDITIONS THROUGH LATE THIS
EVENING.

THUNDERSTORMS WILL THEN BE POSSIBLE LATE TONIGHT ACROSS
EXTREME SOUTHEASTERN KANSAS AND WESTERN MISSOURI. THE MAIN
THREAT FROM THESE STORMS WILL BE CLOUD TO GROUND LIGHTNING.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...THURSDAY THROUGH TUESDAY.

THE THUNDERSTORMS WILL CONTINUE TO TRACK ACROSS THE REMAINDER
OF THE OZARKS REGION DURING THE DAY THURSDAY. INSTABILITY WILL
BE LIMITED...HOWEVER A FEW STRONG TO SEVERE STORMS WILL BE
POSSIBLE OVER THE EASTERN OZARKS AND SOUTH CENTRAL MISSOURI
THURSDAY AFTERNOON.

A FEW SCATTERED THUNDERSTORMS WILL BE POSSIBLE SATURDAY AS A
WARM FRONT LIFTS THROUGH THE REGION. MORE ORGANIZED
THUNDERSTORM CHANCES WILL THEN ARRIVE FOR SUNDAY AND MONDAY.
THERE CONTINUES TO BE THE POTENTIAL FOR SEVERE WEATHER SUNDAY
AND MONDAY ACROSS PORTIONS OF THE CENTRAL UNITED STATES...WHICH
MAY INCLUDE PARTS OF SOUTHEASTERN KANSAS AND THE MISSOURI
OZARKS. THE SEVERE WEATHER THREAT AREA WILL DEPEND ON THE EXACT
TRACK OF THIS STORM SYSTEM...WHICH REMAINS UNCERTAIN AT THIS
TIME.

MUCH COOLER AIR WILL FILTER INTO THE AREA DURING THE MIDDLE OF
NEXT WEEK...WITH SOME INDICATIONS THAT TEMPERATURES MAY DROP
LOW ENOUGH TO RESULT IN A FROST OR FREEZE ACROSS PORTIONS OF
THE OUTLOOK AREA.
