THIS HAZARDOUS WEATHER OUTLOOK IS FOR PORTIONS OF THE MISSOURI
OZARKS AND EXTREME SOUTHEAST KANSAS.

.DAY ONE...THIS AFTERNOON AND TONIGHT.

WEATHER HAZARDS EXPECTED...

ELEVATED LIGHTNING RISK.
LIMITED NON THUNDERSTORM WIND RISK.
ELEVATED FIRE WEATHER RISK.

DISCUSSION...

BREEZY SOUTHERLY WINDS...AT TIMES GUSTING TO AROUND 30
MPH...WILL CONTINUE INTO THE EARLY EVENING HOURS. THESE GUSTY
WINDS WILL COMBINE WITH LOW HUMIDITY TO PRODUCE ELEVATED FIRE
WEATHER CONDITIONS ACROSS THE AREA THROUGH THE REMAINDER OF THE
AFTERNOON.

THUNDERSTORMS WILL BEGIN TO APPROACH THE WESTERN PORTIONS OF THE
OUTLOOK AREA AFTER MIDNIGHT TONIGHT. NO SEVERE WEATHER IS
EXPECTED THROUGH TOMORROW MORNING.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...THURSDAY THROUGH TUESDAY.

THE THUNDERSTORMS WILL CONTINUE TO TRACK ACROSS THE REMAINDER OF
THE OZARKS REGION DURING THE DAY THURSDAY. INSTABILITY WILL BE
LIMITED...HOWEVER A FEW STRONG TO SEVERE STORMS WILL BE POSSIBLE
OVER THE EASTERN OZARKS AND SOUTH CENTRAL MISSOURI THURSDAY AFTERNOON.

A FEW SCATTERED THUNDERSTORMS WILL BE POSSIBLE SATURDAY AS A
WARM FRONT LIFTS THROUGH THE REGION. MORE ORGANIZED THUNDERSTORM
CHANCES WILL THEN ARRIVE FOR SUNDAY AND MONDAY. THERE CONTINUES
TO BE THE POTENTIAL FOR SEVERE WEATHER SUNDAY AND MONDAY ACROSS
PORTIONS OF THE CENTRAL UNITED STATES...WHICH MAY INCLUDE PARTS
OF SOUTHEASTERN KANSAS AND THE MISSOURI OZARKS. THE SEVERE
WEATHER THREAT AREA WILL DEPEND ON THE EXACT TRACK OF THIS STORM
SYSTEM...WHICH REMAINS UNCERTAIN AT THIS TIME.

MUCH COOLER AIR WILL FILTER INTO THE AREA DURING THE MIDDLE OF
NEXT WEEK...WITH SOME INDICATIONS THAT TEMPERATURES MAY DROP LOW
ENOUGH TO RESULT IN A FROST OR FREEZE ACROSS PORTIONS OF THE
OUTLOOK AREA.

.SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...

SPOTTER ACTIVATION WILL NOT BE NEEDED THROUGH TONIGHT.
