THIS HAZARDOUS WEATHER OUTLOOK IS FOR PORTIONS OF THE MISSOURI
OZARKS AND EXTREME SOUTHEAST KANSAS.

.DAY ONE...TODAY AND TONIGHT.

WEATHER HAZARDS EXPECTED...

ELEVATED LIGHTNING RISK.
ELEVATED FIRE WEATHER RISK.

DISCUSSION...

BREEZY CONDITIONS WILL DEVELOP TODAY IN ADVANCE OF THE NEXT
STORM SYSTEM. THE BREEZY CONDITIONS WILL COMBINE WITH DRY
CONDITIONS AND LOW AFTERNOON RELATIVE HUMIDITY LEVELS TO PRODUCE SOME
ELEVATED FIRE WEATHER CONDITIONS.

SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS WILL BEGIN TO MOVE INTO SOUTHEAST
KANSAS AND WESTERN MISSOURI LATE TONIGHT. SEVERE WEATHER IS NOT
EXPECTED WITH THESE THUNDERSTORMS.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...THURSDAY THROUGH TUESDAY.

THE THUNDERSTORMS WILL CONTINUE TO TRACK ACROSS THE REMAINDER OF
THE OZARKS REGION DURING THE DAY THURSDAY. INSTABILITY WILL BE
LIMITED...HOWEVER A FEW STRONGER STORMS WILL BE POSSIBLE OVER
THE EASTERN OZARKS THURSDAY AFTERNOON.

A SECOND ROUND OF THUNDERSTORMS IS THEN EXPECTED FROM SATURDAY
THROUGH MONDAY. THERE ARE INCREASING INDICATIONS THAT SEVERE
WEATHER WILL BE POSSIBLE SUNDAY ACROSS THE CENTRAL PORTION OF
THE UNITED STATES...WHICH MAY INCLUDE PORTIONS OF THE OZARKS.
INTERESTS ACROSS THE REGION ARE ENCOURAGED TO MONITOR LATER
FORECASTS AS THE THREAT AREA IS REFINED.
