THIS HAZARDOUS WEATHER OUTLOOK IS FOR PORTIONS OF THE MISSOURI
OZARKS AND EXTREME SOUTHEAST KANSAS.

.DAY ONE...THIS AFTERNOON AND TONIGHT.

WEATHER HAZARDS EXPECTED...

LIMITED LIGHTNING RISK.

DISCUSSION...

SHOWERS WITH A FEW EMBEDDED THUNDERSTORMS WILL CONTINUE TO
DEVELOP AND TRACK ACROSS THE AREA THROUGH THIS AFTERNOON. THE
MAIN RISK WITH ANY THUNDERSTORM WILL BE CLOUD TO GROUND
LIGHTNING STRIKES...NO SEVERE STORMS ARE EXPECTED.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...TUESDAY THROUGH SUNDAY.

GUSTY SOUTHERLY WINDS WILL DEVELOP ON WEDNESDAY. WIND GUSTS
OVER 30 MPH WILL BE POSSIBLE GENERALLY ALONG AND WEST OF THE
INTERSTATE 49 CORRIDOR.

THESE BREEZY CONDITIONS COMBINED WITH A DRY AIR MASS WILL
RESULT IN ELEVATED FIRE WEATHER CONDITIONS ACROSS PORTIONS OF
THE EASTERN OZARKS...MAINLY IN WOOD AREAS THAT HAVE YET TO LEAF
OUT. FIRES IN THESE CONDITIONS COULD ESCAPE CONTROL MORE EASILY.

ADDITIONAL THUNDERSTORMS ARE POSSIBLE FROM LATE WEDNESDAY NIGHT
INTO THURSDAY NIGHT AND AGAIN FRIDAY NIGHT INTO SATURDAY AS A
SLOW MOVING STORM SYSTEM TRACKS ACROSS THE CENTRAL UNITED
STATES.
