THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN SPRINGFIELD HAS CANCELLED THE
WINTER STORM WARNING. A WIND CHILL ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT
UNTIL NOON CST TODAY.

* SHORT TERM TRENDS...SNOW HAS ENDED ACROSS MUCH OF THE REGION
THIS MORNING. DESPITE THE SNOW ENDED...HOWEVER...MANY ROADS
REMAIN SNOW COVERED. IN ADDITION...BITTERLY COLD WIND CHILLS
BETWEEN 10 AND 20 DEGREES BELOW ZERO WILL CONTINUE THROUGH THE
MORNING HOURS.

* TIMING AND AREAS AFFECTED...A WIND CHILL ADVISORY CONTINUES
THROUGH NOON TODAY.

* WIND CHILL VALUES...WIND CHILLS WILL BETWEEN 10 AND 20 DEGREES BELOW
ZERO WILL CONTINUE THROUGH THIS MORNING.

* IMPACTS...VERY COLD TEMPERATURES WILL RESULT IN A RISK FOR
FROSTBITE AND HYPOTHERMIA FOR ANYONE WITHOUT PROPER SHELTER.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A WIND CHILL ADVISORY MEANS THAT VERY COLD AIR AND STRONG WINDS
WILL COMBINE TO GENERATE LOW WIND CHILLS. THIS WILL RESULT IN
FROST BITE AND LEAD TO HYPOTHERMIA IF PRECAUTIONS ARE NOT TAKEN.
