...ELEVATED TO SIGNIFICANT FIRE WEATHER RISK SUNDAY...

INCREASING SOUTHERLY WINDS...WARM TEMPERATURES...AND LOW RELATIVE
HUMIDITY VALUES WILL LEAD TO AN ELEVATED TO SIGNIFICANT FIRE
WEATHER RISK ON SUNDAY. THE MOST CRITICAL FIRE WEATHER CONDITIONS
WILL OCCUR FROM SOUTHEASTERN KANSAS INTO SOUTHWESTERN AND CENTRAL
MISSOURI.

SOUTHERLY WINDS OF 15 TO 30 MPH WILL BE COMMON WITH GUSTS UP TO 40
MPH POSSIBLE ACROSS THE OSAGE PLAINS OF SOUTHEASTERN KANSAS AND
WEST CENTRAL MISSOURI. MEANWHILE AFTERNOON RELATIVE HUMIDITY
VALUES WILL DROP INTO THE 20 TO 30 PERCENT RANGE.

THESE CONDITIONS COULD LEAD THE RAPID GROWTH AND SPREAD OF
WILDFIRES ESPECIALLY ACROSS OPEN GRASSLAND.
