THIS HAZARDOUS WEATHER OUTLOOK IS FOR PORTIONS OF THE MISSOURI
OZARKS AND EXTREME SOUTHEAST KANSAS.

.DAY ONE...TODAY AND TONIGHT.

WEATHER HAZARDS EXPECTED...

LIMITED LIGHTNING RISK.
ELEVATED EXCESSIVE COLD RISK.
LIMITED NON THUNDERSTORM WIND RISK.
ELEVATED ICE ACCUMULATION RISK.
SIGNIFICANT SNOW AND SLEET RISK.

DISCUSSION...

AREAS OF MODERATE SLEET WILL CONTINUE ACROSS SOUTH CENTRAL
MISSOURI MAINLY SOUTH AND EAST OF A BRANSON TO EMINENCE LINE.
THE HEAVIER SLEET WILL OCCUR WITHIN ISOLATED THUNDERSTORMS WHICH
HAVE BEEN OCCURRING THIS MORNING. WHILE SOME LIGHT ICING FROM
FREEZING RAIN CAN NOT BE RULED OUT OVER SOUTH CENTRAL
MISSOURI...THE MAJORITY OF PRECIPITATION THIS AFTERNOON WILL
REMAIN SLEET.

FURTHER TO THE NORTHWEST...THE CHANGE OVER TO ALL SNOW HAS
OCCURRED AND LIGHT SNOW SHOULD PERSIST THROUGHOUT THE REMAINDER
OF THE AFTERNOON. SNOW WILL BECOME HEAVY AT TIMES
TONIGHT...ESPECIALLY BETWEEN THE INTERSTATE 44 AND U.S. 60
CORRIDOR WHERE 4 TO 8 INCHES WILL BE POSSIBLE. GUSTY WINDS WILL
ACCOMPANY THE SNOW AND WILL CAUSE BLOWING AND DRIFTING OF SNOW
AND LIKELY REDUCE VISIBILITIES TO UNDER A HALF MILE AT TIMES.
THE SLEET OVER SOUTH CENTRAL MISSOURI WILL GRADUALLY CHANGE OVER
TO ALL SNOW THIS EVENING.

WIND CHILLS BETWEEN 10 AND 20 DEGREES BELOW ZERO ARE EXPECTED
THIS EVENING THROUGH THE OVERNIGHT HOURS.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...MONDAY THROUGH SATURDAY.

WIND CHILLS OF TEN BELOW ZERO OR LESS CAN BE EXPECTED THROUGH
MID DAY MONDAY. WIND CHILLS WILL REMAIN AROUND ZERO DURING THE
DAY MONDAY...AND FALL BELOW ZERO IN SOME LOCATIONS AGAIN MONDAY
NIGHT.
