A WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY FOR SNOW REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 6 AM
CST WEDNESDAY.

* SHORT TERM TRENDS...SNOW WILL RAPIDLY DEVELOP AND OVERSPREAD
MUCH OF THE ADVISORY AREA THROUGH 10 AM. A QUICK DUSTING WILL
OCCUR AND TRAVEL CONDITIONS WILL RAPIDLY DETERIORATE. SNOWFALL
WILL INCREASE IN INTENSITY DURING THE MORNING HOURS.

* TIMING AND AREAS AFFECTED...FROM THIS MORNING THROUGH TONIGHT
FOR SOUTHEASTERN KANSAS AND THE MISSOURI OZARKS.

* SNOW ACCUMULATIONS...ACCUMULATIONS WILL RANGE FROM 2 TO 5 INCHES
WITH LOCALLY HIGHER AMOUNTS NEAR 6 INCHES POSSIBLE. HIGHER
ACCUMULATIONS WILL OCCUR NORTH OF A LINE FROM COLUMBUS KANSAS TO
VERSAILLES MISSOURI.

SLEET MAY BE MIXED WITH THE SNOW ACROSS FAR SOUTHERN MISSOURI
THIS MORNING.

* WINDS AND VISIBILITY...MODERATE TO LOCALLY HEAVY SNOWFALL RATES COULD
REDUCE THE VISIBILITY TO NEAR A HALF MILE AT TIMES. WIND GUSTS
UP TO 20 MPH COULD CAUSE SOME BLOWING AND DRIFTING SNOW.

* IMPACTS...TRAVEL CONDITIONS WILL RAPIDLY DETERIORATE THIS MORNING.
MANY ROADS WILL BECOME SNOW COVERED AND HAZARDOUS.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY FOR SNOW MEANS THAT PERIODS OF SNOW
WILL CAUSE PRIMARILY TRAVEL DIFFICULTIES. BE PREPARED FOR SNOW
COVERED ROADS AND LIMITED VISIBILITIES...AND USE CAUTION WHILE
DRIVING.
