...POTENTIAL SIGNIFICANT WINTER STORM TO IMPACT THE REGION THIS
WEEKEND...

.A STRONG UPPER LEVEL SYSTEM WILL IMPACT THE REGION AND BRING
WINTRY WEATHER TO THE REGION FROM SATURDAY EVENING INTO SUNDAY
NIGHT. ACCUMULATIONS OF SLEET AND FREEZING RAIN MAY BE
SIGNIFICANT IN NATURE IN LOCATIONS...WITH SOME SNOW ACCUMULATIONS
ON TOP OF THE SNOW AND SLEET. THE ENTIRE AREA IS EXPECTED TO SEE
SOME FREEZING RAIN, SLEET, AND SNOW. AT THIS TIME THE HEAVIEST ICE
ACCUMULATIONS ARE EXPECTED TO OCCUR ACROSS FAR SOUTHERN MISSOURI,
WITH THE HEAVIEST SNOW ACCUMULATIONS ALONG AND NORTH OF HIGHWAY
54. THE HEAVIEST SLEET ACCUMULATIONS WILL THEN OCCUR BETWEEN
THESE TWO AREAS. THERE STILL REMAINS SOME QUESTIONS ON THE EXACT
TRACK OF THE SYSTEM AND THESE LOCATIONS OCCURRED SHIFT
SOME...HOWEVER CONFIDENCE CONTINUES TO INCREASE THAT THEY WILL
OCCUR SOME WHERE OVER THE AREA.

FOLLOWING THIS SYSTEM...BITTERLY COLD TEMPERATURES

STORM WATCH...WHICH IS IN EFFECT FROM SATURDAY EVENING THROUGH
LATE SUNDAY NIGHT.

* TIMING AND AREAS AFFECTED...ACROSS EXTREME SOUTHEASTERN KANSAS
AND THE MISSOURI OZARKS SATURDAY EVENING THROUGH EARLY MONDAY
MORNING.

* SNOW AND SLEET ACCUMULATIONS...SNOW AND SLEET ACCUMULATIONS
COULD RANGE FROM 1 TO 6 INCHES. THE AMOUNTS WILL BE LOWER WHERE
SLEET AND FREEZING RAIN OCCURS.

* ICE ACCUMULATIONS...FREEZING RAIN WITH AT LEAST SOME ICE
ACCUMULATIONS ARE EXPECTED ACROSS TH ENTIRE ARE WITH THE
HEAVIEST AMOUNTS EXPECTED ACROSS FAR SOUTHERN MISSOURI.

* WINDS AND VISIBILITY... NORTHEASTERLY WINDS COULD GUSTS BETWEEN
20 AND 30 MPH AT TIMES.

* IMPACTS...SNOW AND SLEET COVERED ROAD CONDITIONS ARE
LIKELY...WHICH WILL RESULT IN DANGEROUS TRAVEL CONDITIONS.
FREEZING RAIN WILL ACCUMULATE ON TREES AND POWER LINES WITH
SOME POWER OUTAGES POSSIBLE.
