* SHORT TERM TRENDS...WINDS EARLY THIS AFTERNOON WILL GUST BETWEEN 45
AND 55 MPH. GUSTS WILL DECREASE SOMEWHAT AS CLOUD COVER
INCREASES AGAIN FROM THE WEST...THOUGH STRONG WINDS WILL
CONTINUE INTO EARLY EVENING.

* TIMING AND AREAS AFFECTED...SOUTHEAST KANSAS AND ADJACENT AREAS
OF SOUTHWEST AND CENTRAL MISSOURI WEST OF HIGHWAY 65 THROUGH THE AFTERNOON.

* WINDS...WINDS WILL BECOME WESTERLY AS A FRONTAL BOUNDARY MOVES THROUGH.
GUSTS BETWEEN 40 AND 50 MPH CAN BE EXPECTED.

* IMPACTS...CROSSWINDS ON WIND EXPOSED ROADS MAY AFFECT HIGH PROFILE
VEHICLES. OUTDOOR OBJECTS THAT ARE NOT SECURED MAY BE BLOWN
AROUND. HIGHER GUSTS MAY DAMAGE WIND VULNERABLE OUTBUILDINGS.
