THIS HAZARDOUS WEATHER OUTLOOK IS FOR PORTIONS OF THE MISSOURI
OZARKS AND EXTREME SOUTHEAST KANSAS.

.DAY ONE...THIS AFTERNOON AND TONIGHT.

WEATHER HAZARDS EXPECTED...

LIMITED EXCESSIVE COLD RISK.
ELEVATED ICE ACCUMULATION RISK.
ELEVATED SNOW AND SLEET RISK.

DISCUSSION...

SNOW WILL IMPACT THE OUTLOOK AREA INTO TONIGHT. ACCUMULATIONS
WILL RANGE FROM 3 TO 6 INCHES WITH LOCALIZED AMOUNTS UP TO 7
INCHES NORTH OF A GIRARD KANSAS TO VERSAILLES MISSOURI LINE.
AMOUNTS OF 1 TO 3 INCHES WITH LOCALIZED AMOUNTS UP TO 4 INCHES
CAN BE EXPECTED ACROSS THE REMAINDER OF THE MISSOURI OZARKS AND
EXTREME SOUTHEASTERN KANSAS. SLEET WILL ALSO OCCASIONALLY MIX
IN WITH THE SNOW ACROSS SOUTHERN MISSOURI WITH SLEET
ACCUMULATIONS UP TO A QUARTER INCH EXPECTED.

MEANWHILE...POCKETS OF LIGHT FREEZING RAIN ARE EXPECTED ACROSS
FAR SOUTH CENTRAL MISSOURI THIS AFTERNOON. ICE ACCUMULATIONS
UP TO A TENTH OF AN INCH ARE EXPECTED ALONG AND SOUTH OF A
BRANSON TO EMINENCE LINE. A VERY THIN GLAZE OF ICE WILL ALSO
BE POSSIBLE ACROSS THE REMAINDER OF THE OUTLOOK AREA FROM
THIS AFTERNOON INTO TONIGHT AS PATCHY FREEZING DRIZZLE
DEVELOPS.

WIND CHILLS LATE TONIGHT INTO EARLY WEDNESDAY MORNING WILL BE
IN THE SINGLE DIGITS BELOW ZERO.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...WEDNESDAY THROUGH MONDAY.

LOWS WILL DROP TO 5 BELOW TO 5 ABOVE ZERO WEDNESDAY NIGHT INTO
THURSDAY MORNING WITH WIND CHILL VALUES FALL IN THE TEENS BELOW
ZERO. WIND CHILLS IN THE SINGLE DIGITS WILL OCCUR NIGHTLY
THROUGH THE WEEKEND. PORTIONS OF THE NORTHERN OUTLOOK AREA MAY
FALL BELOW ZERO ON A FEW OF THESE NIGHTS.

ANOTHER STORM SYSTEM WILL MOVE THROUGH THE REGION THIS WEEKEND
BRINGING THE POTENTIAL OF ACCUMULATING SNOW. HOWEVER THE TRACK
AND STRENGTH OF THIS SYSTEM REMAINS UNCERTAIN.

SPOTTER ACTIVATION WILL NOT BE NEEDED THROUGH TONIGHT. HOWEVER...
SPOTTERS ARE ENCOURAGED TO RELAY SNOWFALL AND ICE ACCUMULATION
REPORTS TO THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN SPRINGFIELD.
