OZARKS AND EXTREME SOUTHEAST KANSAS.

WEATHER HAZARDS EXPECTED...

LIMITED EXCESSIVE COLD RISK.
LIMITED NON THUNDERSTORM WIND RISK.

DISCUSSION...

WIND CHILLS IN THE SINGLE DIGITS ARE EXPECTED TONIGHT ACROSS
PORTIONS OF THE EASTERN OZARKS.

SOUTHEASTERLY WIND GUSTS UP TO 30 MPH WILL DEVELOP LATE TONIGHT
FOR PORTIONS OF THE MISSOURI OZARKS.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...FRIDAY THROUGH WEDNESDAY.

A QUICK MOVING STORM SYSTEM WILL BRING A WINTRY MIX CHANGING TO
SNOW OR A RAIN SNOW MIX ON FRIDAY. UP TO AN INCH OF SNOW
ACCUMULATION MAY BE POSSIBLE AS TEMPERATURES CLIMB TO AROUND THE
FREEZING MARK DURING THE DAY.

SOUTHEASTERLY WIND GUSTS AROUND 30 MPH ARE AGAIN EXPECTED
FRIDAY MORNING ACROSS PORTIONS OF THE MISSOURI OZARKS.

PATCHY FREEZING DRIZZLE WILL BE POSSIBLE FRIDAY NIGHT INTO
SATURDAY MORNING WITH A GLAZE OF ICE POSSIBLE.

CONFIDENCE CONTINUES TO INCREASE FOR A SIGNIFICANT WINTER STORM
TO IMPACT THE OUTLOOK AREA THE WEEKEND. FREEZING RAIN...SLEET
AND SNOW ALL APPEAR LIKELY ACROSS THE AREA. GREATER THAN A
QUARTER INCH WILL BE POSSIBLE FOR AREAS ALONG AND SOUTH OF
INTERSTATE 44. ACCUMULATING SNOW IS EXPECTED ACROSS THE REGION
WITH THE HIGHEST AMOUNTS NORTH OF THE HIGHWAY 54 CORRIDOR
THUNDERSTORMS WILL POSSIBLE ACROSS SOUTHERN MISSOURI WHICH WILL
HAVE THE POTENTIAL ENHANCE ACCUMULATIONS.

BRISK NORTHERLY AND WIND GUSTS AROUND 30 MPH WILL BE POSSIBLE
FROM SATURDAY INTO SUNDAY.

A BITTERLY COLD AIR MASS WILL THEN FILTER INTO THE REGION BEHIND
THIS STORM SYSTEM FOR THE BEGINNING OF NEXT WEEK. THIS WILL
DEVELOP WIND CHILLS RANGING FROM 5 TO 15 BELOW ZERO AT TIMES.

A WEAK STORM SYSTEM MAY BRING SOME LIGHT SNOW TO THE REGION
AROUND THE MIDDLE OF NEXT WEEK.
