...WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 6 AM CST
THURSDAY...

A WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY FOR SNOW AND BLOWING SNOW REMAINS IN
EFFECT UNTIL 6 AM CST THURSDAY.

* SHORT TERM TRENDS...SNOW HAS SPREAD EAST TO AREAS ALONG AND
NORTHWEST OF A LINE FROM BRANSON TO ROLLA. ROADS HAVE QUICKLY
BECOME SNOW COVERED OVER SOUTHEAST KANSAS INTO SOUTHWEST AND
CENTRAL MISSOURI. SNOW AND BLOWING SNOW HAS REDUCED VISIBILITY
TO LESS THAN A MILE AT TIMES. THE SNOW WILL CONTINUE TO SPREAD
EAST INTO SOUTH CENTRAL MISSOURI OVERNIGHT.

* TIMING AND AREAS AFFECTED...SOUTHEAST KANSAS INTO MUCH OF
SOUTHWEST AND CENTRAL MISSOURI THROUGH 6 AM.

* SNOW ACCUMULATION...1 TO 2 INCHES. HIGHER AMOUNTS OF 3 INCHES
POSSIBLE OVER PARTS OF CENTRAL MISSOURI.

* WINDS AND VISIBILITY...GUSTY NORTH TO NORTHWEST WINDS OF 15 TO
20 MPH WITH GUSTS AROUND 30 MPH WILL RESULT IN BLOWING AND
DRIFTING SNOW ALONG WITH LOCALIZED REDUCTIONS IN VISIBILITY.

WIND CHILL VALUES WILL FALL INTO THE FIVE BELOW TO FIVE ABOVE
ZERO RANGE LATE TONIGHT.

* IMPACTS...SNOW WILL ACCUMULATE ON ROADS MAKING TRAVEL HAZARDOUS
IF NOT USING APPROPRIATE SAFE DRIVING PRECAUTIONS.

A WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY FOR SNOW AND BLOWING SNOW MEANS THAT
VISIBILITIES WILL BE LIMITED DUE TO A COMBINATION OF FALLING AND
BLOWING SNOW. USE CAUTION WHEN TRAVELING...ESPECIALLY IN OPEN
AREAS.
