...WINTRY PRECIPITATION OVERSPREADING THE REGION...

.LIGHT SNOW AND FREEZING DRIZZLE WILL CONTINUE TO EXPAND IN
COVERAGE AND MOVE NORTH THIS EVENING AND OVERNIGHT TONIGHT AS A
WEAK UPPER LEVEL DISTURBANCE APPROACHES FROM THE WEST.

SNOW ACCUMULATIONS WILL RANGE FROM A DUSTING TO ONE AND A HALF
INCHES. FREEZING DRIZZLE ACCUMULATIONS WILL CREATE A THIN GLAZE
OF ICE ON EXPOSED SURFACES.

THIS WINTRY PRECIPITATION COULD CREATE DIFFICULT TRAVEL
CONDITIONS DURING THE THURSDAY MORNING COMMUTE TO WORK OR SCHOOL.

THURSDAY...

A WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY FOR LIGHT SNOW AND FREEZING DRIZZLE
REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 3 PM CST THURSDAY.

* SHORT TERM TRENDS...LIGHT SNOW AND FREEZING DRIZZLE WILL
CONTINUE ACROSS SOUTHERN MISSOURI THIS EVENING. THIS
PRECIPITATION WILL SPREAD NORTH INTO THE REMAINDER OF THE
MISSOURI OZARKS AND EXTREME SOUTHEASTERN KANSAS FROM LATE THIS
EVENING INTO THE OVERNIGHT PERIOD. A DUSTING TO A HALF INCH OF
SNOW IS EXPECTED THIS EVENING...MAINLY ALONG AND SOUTH OF THE
INTERSTATE 44 CORRIDOR. A THIN GLAZE OF ICE IS ALSO EXPECTED ON
EXPOSED SURFACES.

* TIMING AND AREAS AFFECTED...ALL OF THE MISSOURI OZARKS AND
EXTREME SOUTHEASTERN KANSAS INTO EARLY THURSDAY AFTERNOON.

* SNOW ACCUMULATIONS...TOTAL ACCUMULATIONS OF A DUSTING UP TO AN
INCH AND A HALF OF SNOW ARE EXPECTED. THE HIGHEST AMOUNTS WILL
GENERALLY BE ACROSS SOUTH CENTRAL MISSOURI.

* ICE ACCUMULATIONS...A THIN GLAZE OF A FEW HUNDREDTHS OF AN INCH
OF ICE IS EXPECTED ON EXPOSED SURFACES.

* IMPACTS...THE COMBINATION OF LIGHT SNOW AND FREEZING DRIZZLE
WILL CREATE DIFFICULT TRAVEL CONDITIONS INTO EARLY THURSDAY
AFTERNOON. THE MISSOURI DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION IS
BEGINNING TO REPORT SNOW AND ICE COVERED ROADWAYS ACROSS
PORTIONS OF SOUTHERN MISSOURI.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY MEANS THAT PERIODS OF LIGHT SNOW AND
FREEZING DRIZZLE WILL CAUSE TRAVEL DIFFICULTIES. BE PREPARED FOR
