THIS MORNING...

A WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY FOR SNOW AND BLOWING SNOW REMAINS IN
EFFECT UNTIL 6 AM CST EARLY THIS MORNING.

* SHORT TERM TRENDS...SNOW HAD SPREAD EAST INTO THE EASTERN
OZARKS WITH SNOW ENDING EAST OF INTERSTATE 49. THE SNOW WILL
QUICKLY END FROM WEST TO EAST EARLY THIS MORNING. ROADS HAVE
QUICKLY BECOME SNOW COVERED ACROSS THE AREA AND SNOW AND BLOWING
SNOW HAS REDUCED VISIBILITY TO LESS THAN A MILE AT TIMES.
BLOWING AND DRIFTING OF SNOW WILL CONTINUE EARLY THIS MORNING
EVEN AFTER THE SNOW HAS ENDED.

* TIMING AND AREAS AFFECTED...SOUTHEAST KANSAS INTO MUCH OF
SOUTHWEST AND CENTRAL MISSOURI THROUGH 6 AM.

* SNOW ACCUMULATION...1 TO 2 INCHES. HIGHER AMOUNTS OF 3 INCHES
POSSIBLE OVER PARTS OF CENTRAL MISSOURI.

* WINDS AND VISIBILITY...GUSTY NORTH TO NORTHWEST WINDS OF 15 TO
20 MPH WITH GUSTS AROUND 30 MPH WILL RESULT IN BLOWING AND
DRIFTING SNOW ALONG WITH LOCALIZED REDUCTIONS IN VISIBILITY.

WIND CHILL VALUES WILL FALL INTO THE FIVE BELOW TO FIVE ABOVE
ZERO RANGE LATE TONIGHT WITH PORTIONS OF EAST CENTRAL KANSAS
INTO CENTRAL MISSOURI POSSIBLY DROPPING TO NEAR 10 BELOW THIS
MORNING.

* IMPACTS...SNOW WILL ACCUMULATE ON ROADS MAKING TRAVEL HAZARDOUS
IF NOT USING APPROPRIATE SAFE DRIVING PRECAUTIONS.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY FOR SNOW AND BLOWING SNOW MEANS THAT
VISIBILITIES WILL BE LIMITED DUE TO A COMBINATION OF FALLING AND
BLOWING SNOW. USE CAUTION WHEN TRAVELING...ESPECIALLY IN OPEN
