A WIND CHILL ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL NOON CST TODAY.

* SHORT TERM TRENDS...AIR TEMPERATURES THIS MORNING WILL SLOWLY
WARM...REACHING THE TEENS AND 20S BY LATE MORNING. WIND CHILL
VALUES CONTINUE TO BE IN THE TEENS BELOW ZERO IN MANY
LOCATIONS...AND MAY ACTUALLY DROP A FEW DEGREES THIS MORNING AS
SOUTHERLY WINDS INCREASE. WIND CHILLS SHOULD THEN WARM ABOVE
ZERO LATE THIS MORNING.

* TIMING AND AREAS AFFECTED...EXTREME SOUTHEASTERN KANSAS AND ALL OF
THE MISSOURI OZARKS. ADVISORY CONDITIONS WILL CONTINUE THROUGH
THE MORNING HOURS.

* WIND CHILL VALUES...WIND CHILL VALUES BETWEEN 10 AND 25 BELOW
ZERO ARE EXPECTED THROUGH LATE MORNING.

* IMPACTS...WIND CHILLS OF THIS MAGNITUDE CAN RESULT IN FROST BITE ON
EXPOSED SKIN IN AS LITTLE AS 30 MINUTES. THOSE OUTDOORS WITHOUT
SUFFICIENT PROTECTION WILL RUN A HIGH RISK FOR FROST BITE OR
HYPOTHERMIA.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

PETS ARE ALSO SUSCEPTIBLE TO THE EXTREME COLD. KEEP PETS INDOORS
AS MUCH AS POSSIBLE. IF THIS IS NOT POSSIBLE...MAKE SURE OUTDOOR
