* SHORT TERM TRENDS...A STRONG COLD FRONT WILL SURGE RAPIDLY
SOUTHWARD AND REACH THE INTERSTATE 44 CORRIDOR BY 10 PM....AND
FAR SOUTH CENTRAL MISSOURI BY MIDNIGHT. WIND GUSTS OF 40 TO 50
MPH WILL BE COMMON IMMEDIATELY FOLLOWING THE FRONTAL PASSAGE.
LOCALLY HIGHER GUSTS TO NEAR 55 MPH WILL BE POSSIBLE.

* TIMING AND AREAS AFFECTED...SOUTHEASTERN KANSAS AND THE MISSOURI
OZARKS TONIGHT UNTIL 6 AM.

* WINDS...SUSTAINED NORTHERLY OF 25 TO 35 MPH WITH GUSTS OF 40 TO
50 MPH. THE HIGHER GUSTS WILL OCCUR ALONG AND NORTH OF THE
INTERSTATE 44 CORRIDOR.

* IMPACTS...STRONG NORTH WINDS WILL CAUSE TRAVEL DIFFICULTIES...
ESPECIALLY FOR HIGH PROFILE VEHICLES ALONG EAST TO WEST
ROADWAYS. OUTDOOR OBJECTS MAY BLOW AROUND IF NOT SECURED.

IN ADDITION...TREE LIMBS AND BRANCHES MAY BE DOWNED WHICH COULD
RESULT IN LOCALIZED POWER OUTAGES.

50 MPH ARE EXPECTED. WINDS THIS STRONG CAN MAKE DRIVING
