A ROUND OF LIGHT WINTRY PRECIPITATION IS EXPECTED TO IMPACT
SOUTHEASTERN KANSAS AND THE MISSOURI OZARKS FROM WEDNESDAY
AFTERNOON THROUGH THURSDAY MORNING. PRECIPITATION IS EXPECTED TO
OVERSPREAD THE AREA FROM THE SOUTH WEDNESDAY AFTERNOON.
TEMPERATURES WILL INITIALLY BE ABOVE FREEZING...BUT WILL DROP TO OR
BELOW THE FREEZING MARK ONCE PRECIPITATION BEGINS. INITIAL
PRECIPITATION TYPE IS EXPECTED TO BE SNOW MIXED WITH SLEET...WITH
A CHANGEOVER TO ALL SNOW FOR WEDNESDAY EVENING. LIGHT SNOW
ACCUMULATIONS ARE EXPECTED WEDNESDAY EVENING...WITH AMOUNTS
GENERALLY RANGING FROM A DUSTING TO 2 INCHES. THE HIGHER AMOUNTS
WILL OCCUR EAST OF HIGHWAY 65 AND SOUTH OF INTERSTATE 44...WITH
LOWER AMOUNTS TO THE WEST.

BY LATE WEDNESDAY NIGHT...SNOW WILL BEGIN TO MIX WITH FREEZING
DRIZZLE OR LIGHT FREEZING RAIN...WITH THE POTENTIAL FOR LIGHT
FREEZING DRIZZLE OVER THE ENTIRE REGION THURSDAY MORNING. A THIN
GLAZE OF ICE WILL BE POSSIBLE OVER ALL OF SOUTHEASTERN KANSAS AND
THE MISSOURI OZARKS...BEFORE TEMPERATURES WARM ABOVE FREEZING THURSDAY
AFTERNOON.
