THIS HAZARDOUS WEATHER OUTLOOK IS FOR PORTIONS OF THE MISSOURI
OZARKS AND EXTREME SOUTHEAST KANSAS.

.DAY ONE...THIS AFTERNOON AND TONIGHT.

WEATHER HAZARDS EXPECTED...

LIMITED TO LOCALLY ELEVATED EXCESSIVE COLD RISK.

DISCUSSION...

WIND CHILL VALUES WILL RANGE FROM ZERO TO TEN BELOW ZERO FROM
LATE TONIGHT INTO EARLY FRIDAY MORNING. THE COLDEST READINGS
WILL BE ACROSS CENTRAL MISSOURI.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...FRIDAY THROUGH WEDNESDAY.

SUSTAINED SOUTHERLY WINDS OF 15 TO 25 MPH WITH GUSTS OVER
30 MPH ARE EXPECTED ACROSS SOUTHEASTERN KANSAS AND WESTERN
MISSOURI FRIDAY AND FRIDAY NIGHT.

A STORM SYSTEM IS EXPECTED TO BRING A SWATH OF ACCUMULATING
SNOW TO EXTREME SOUTHEASTERN KANSAS AND THE MISSOURI OZARKS
FROM SATURDAY NIGHT INTO SUNDAY. WHILE EXACT SNOWFALL AMOUNTS
REMAIN UNCERTAIN...IT DOES APPEAR THAT PORTIONS OF THE OUTLOOK
AREA MAY RECEIVE MORE THAN FOUR INCHES OF SNOWFALL. AT THIS
TIME...IT APPEARS THAT THE HIGHEST AMOUNTS MAY OCCUR EAST OF
HIGHWAY 65. IT SHOULD BE NOTED THAT THIS STORM SYSTEM IS STILL
OFF THE COAST OF BRITISH COLUMBIA. SNOWFALL AMOUNTS WILL
BECOME CLEARER STARTING LATE TONIGHT AND FRIDAY AS THE LOW
MOVES ONSHORE.

BITTERLY COLD ARCTIC AIR WILL THEN OVERSPREAD THE REGION BEHIND
THIS STORM SYSTEM EARLY NEXT WEEK. HIGH TEMPERATURES WILL FAIL
TO WARM OUT OF THE SINGLE DIGITS MONDAY...WHILE OVERNIGHT LOWS
WILL DROP TO NEAR OR BELOW ZERO SUNDAY AND MONDAY NIGHTS.

DANGEROUSLY COLD WIND CHILLS OF 10 TO 20 DEGREES BELOW
ZERO WILL OCCUR AT TIMES SUNDAY NIGHT THROUGH MONDAY NIGHT.

MORE WINTRY PRECIPITATION WILL THEN BE POSSIBLE AROUND THE
MIDDLE OF NEXT WEEK.
