...WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL MIDNIGHT CST
TONIGHT...

A WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY FOR FREEZING DRIZZLE AND LIGHT SNOW
REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL MIDNIGHT CST TONIGHT.

* SHORT TERM TRENDS...FREEZING DRIZZLE CONTINUES TO AFFECT
PORTIONS OF EXTREME SOUTHEASTERN KANSAS AND FAR WESTERN MISSOURI
THIS EVENING. A GLAZE OF ICE HAS FORMED ON AREA ROADWAYS ACROSS
THE ADVISORY AREA WITH REPORTS OF SLIDE OFFS AND ACCIDENTS DUE
TO SLICK ROADS FROM THE FREEZING DRIZZLE. THE FREEZING DRIZZLE
WILL COME TO AN END FROM WEST TO EAST LATE THIS EVENING. LIGHT
SNOW WILL ALSO OCCUR ACROSS PORTIONS OF THE AREA GENERALLY NORTH
OF HIGHWAY 54 WHERE A DUSTING OF SNOW WILL BE POSSIBLE.

* TIMING AND AREAS AFFECTED...ALONG AND WEST OF INTERSTATE 49
THROUGH THIS EVENING

* SNOW AND ICE ACCUMULATIONS...A DUSTING OF SNOW ACCUMULATION WILL
BE POSSIBLE MAINLY NORTH OF HIGHWAY 54. FREEZING DRIZZLE WILL
PRODUCE A THIN GLAZE OF A TRACE TO A FEW HUNDREDTHS OF AN INCH
OF ICE ACCUMULATION.

* IMPACTS...COLD ROAD AND BRIDGE SURFACES WILL CAUSE ANY
PRECIPITATION TO FREEZE ON CONTACT. EVEN IF IT DOES NOT LOOK
LIKE MUCH PRECIPITATION HAS OR IS OCCURRING...THE ROADS WILL
BECOME SLICK WITH EVEN JUST A SMALL AMOUNT OF SNOW OR FREEZING
DRIZZLE. USE CAUTION IF TRAVELING THIS EVENING. EVEN THOUGH THE
PRECIPITATION IS EXPECTED TO COME TO AN END THIS EVENING...SLICK
SPOTS CAN STILL BE EXPECTED FOR THE MONDAY MORNING COMMUTE.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY MEANS THAT PERIODS OF FREEZING DRIZZLE
AND LIGHT SNOW WILL CAUSE TRAVEL DIFFICULTIES. BE PREPARED FOR
SLIPPERY ROADS AND LIMITED VISIBILITIES...AND USE CAUTION WHILE
DRIVING.
