...WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL NOON CST
TODAY...

A WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY FOR SNOW...FREEZING RAIN...AND FREEZING
DRIZZLE REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL NOON CST TODAY.

* SHORT TERM TRENDS...RAIN WILL CONTINUE TO CHANGE TO SNOW BETWEEN
THE HIGHWAY 65 AND 63 CORRIDORS THROUGH 3 AM. THE SNOW WILL BE
HEAVY AT TIMES REDUCING VISIBILITIES DOWN TO A QUARTER MILE.
SNOWFALL RATES AROUND AN INCH PER HOUR CAN BE EXPECTED FROM THE
CASSVILLE AND SPRINGFIELD AREAS...EAST INTO THE LEBANON AND
HARTVILLE AREAS. THIS WILL LIKELY RESULT IN ROADWAYS BECOMING
SNOW COVERED AND HAZARDOUS WITHIN A MATTER 15 TO 30 MINUTES
AFTER THE CHANGEOVER TO SNOW OCCURS.

* TIMING AND AREAS AFFECTED...ALL OF THE MISSOURI OZARKS AND
EXTREME SOUTHEASTERN KANSAS THROUGH SATURDAY MORNING.

* SNOW AND SLEET ACCUMULATIONS...ACCUMULATIONS WILL RANGE FROM 3
TO 6 INCHES GENERALLY ALONG AND EAST OF A VERSAILLES TO
GREENFIELD TO CASSVILLE LINE. A NARROW BAND OF LOCALLY HIGHER
ACCUMULATIONS UP TO 7 INCHES WILL BE POSSIBLE.

LIGHTER SNOW ACCUMULATIONS OF A TRACE UP TO 3 INCHES ARE
EXPECTED ACROSS EXTREME SOUTHEASTERN KANSAS AND WESTERN MISSOURI.

* ICE ACCUMULATIONS...FREEZING RAIN AND DRIZZLE ACCUMULATIONS WILL
RANGE FROM A TRACE TO A FEW HUNDREDTHS OF AN INCH.

THE FREEZING DRIZZLE THREAT WILL SPREAD FROM WEST TO EAST ACROSS
THE REGION FROM LATE TONIGHT INTO SATURDAY MORNING AS SNOW ENDS.

* IMPACTS...TRAVEL CONDITIONS WILL QUICKLY DETERIORATE OVERNIGHT
AS TEMPERATURES FALL BELOW FREEZING AND SNOW DEVELOPS.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY MEANS THAT PERIODS OF SNOW...FREEZING
RAIN...OR FREEZING DRIZZLE WILL CAUSE TRAVEL DIFFICULTIES. BE
PREPARED FOR SLIPPERY ROADS AND LIMITED VISIBILITIES...AND USE
CAUTION WHILE DRIVING.
